Chick-fil-A and Gay Marriage

jeffscurlock —  July 23, 2012 — 4 Comments

Last week the president of Chick-fil-A,  Dan Cathy said that the company supported the Biblical definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman. That he did not support gay marriage. Well the liberal wacko’s are up in arms. The Los Angeles Times reports today (July 23) that The Benson Co (Muppets) have decided to sever ties with the chicken sandwich company.  According to the article Dan Cathy when asked if the Biblical definition was in fact his stance on the subject said, “guilty as charged.”

Now, according to the same article the mayor of Boston has declared war on Chick-fil-A saying that he would block any applications for permits to build the restaurants in his city.

Along with those two examples, multiple entertainers and politicians are lining up to take their shot at Chick-fil-A.

It still shocks me that the morals of this nation have changed so much that it is considered to be politically correct to take a position opposing such a stellar corporation as Chick-fil-A because their leader voices his opinion.

Good for you Dan Cathy! IT’S ABOUT TIME!!! It’s about time that someone in the corporate world had the guts to stand up for what is right even though he knew that there might be negative consequences.

I believe the outcome will be the exact opposite of what the liberal nuts hope it will be. Let them boycott Chick-fil-A and go eat at their tree hugging, perverted, morality-hating eateries.  I’m glad they won’t be a Chick-fil-A.  We don’t have a Chick-fil-A in our town. Oh how I wish we did!! I’d be eating there every day!  The closest Chick-fil-A to me is about forty-five minutes away. I might just take the drive for lunch one day just to show my support.

Former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is standing with Chick-fil-A. He said on his facebook page that the Cathy clan were a “wonderful Christian family who are committed to operating the company with Biblical principles and whose story is the true American success story” – one “that is being smeared by vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry from the left.” Huckabee declared that August 1 should be “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.”   Amen Gov. Huckabee, Amen!

This is our chance. It’s our chance to show the corporate world that it is still safe, popular and a good financial decision to support Biblical values in these United States Of America. I support Chick-fil-A.

I’d love to know what you think. Please leave your comments here at

Its a shame that in this country, FREE speech is only supposed to apply to non-Christians or whoever the public at large deems to be politically correct. We, as Christians, have to stop letting the media dictate who we are and what we stand for.
