Podcasting is growing and now Apple has done what podcast listeners have been asking for. They have created a stand-alone podcast app and included it in the new ios 6. Podcast are no longer hidden in a back page of iTunes.  There is a problem. The app is getting horrible reviews.

The picture at the top of this post is an actual screenshot of the podcast app page at iTunes.  Look at the reviews; 58- 5 Star, 32- 4 Star, 29- 3 Star,  52- 2 Star and, drum roll please, 437- 1 star.  I read many of these reviews and they did not make me want to use the new app.

The good news, there is a great app for downloading and listening to podcast. I learned about it from listening to the podcast answer man Cliff Ravenscraft. The app is called Pocket Cast. It cost $2.99 but it’s well worth it. I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago and I love it. I am not a Pocket Cast affiliate so I don’t make any money for leading you there. However if you like to listen to podcast (and you should) I highly recommend that you download pocket cast to your iPhone or Android device.

Speaking of podcast my new daily devotion podcast “Start Your Day Right” began today and it can be accessed at or at iTunes by typing my name in the search window or JUST FOLLOW THIS LINK.  Better yet! Download Pocket Cast and do a search there.

Will you help me get the word out about this site and my two podcast? Subscribe and share. It’s that easy.
