Starbucks and Same Sex Marriage

I like a good cup of Starbucks coffee as much as anyone. I like the casual, relaxed atmosphere that Starbucks offers.

Today Time Magazine reported that Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz has taken an even stronger stance in favor of same sex marriage telling the stock holders that if they didn’t like the position that they were welcomed to sell their shares and invest somewhere else.

Have we completely lost the battle of Biblical values in our nation? Is it time to give up and just not concern ourselves with companies that take anti traditional value positions?

According to an article in The Voice  Magazine, McDonalds pulled back from a position to support gay rights because of boycotts pushed by the American Family Association.

This post is not for people who don’t drink coffee or have never visited a Starbucks. I’m talking to coffee lovers and those who love a good cup of Starbucks coffee or iced tea.

What is your position? Do you care? What will you do, if anything?

I don’t visit the store very often but I do buy the ground coffee to make at home. That will stop now.As the CEO said, I’pull my investment and use it elsewhere.
