Abortion Battle in Texas Has Me Scratching My Head. AGAIN!

Abortion Texas

In the spirit of full disclosure you must know that I am opposed to abortion. I believe it’s wrong to kill and innocent person.

The Texas state legislature passed a new bill restricting abortions Friday night.  It says, 1. No abortions after twenty weeks. 2.  It requires abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital and 3. It requires all abortions to take place in surgical centers.

If I WAS pro-choice I don’t know how I could argue with these three extremely common sense points.

Democrats want exceptions in the case of rape or incest. What? If you’re raped or conceive a child because of incest or rape and you are pro-choice are you really going to wait 20 weeks to have an abortion?

I still scratch my head over the lack of morals in our nation. I heard former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee say on his national radio show that there are more abortions performed in the United States than any other place in the world.  I’m embarrassed and grieved.

I am proud of the Republicans in the Texas legislature who have taken a stand for life.

I could write pages and pages on this subject. I could rant until the cows come home. I won’t.  I just wanted to comment in light of the battle going on in Texas.

I welcome your input.
